The Fruity Theatre Company’s recent London run of ‘Nail Polish’ was well-received

Nail Polish - Written by Govey and Parker

Greenwich Drama graduates - who make up the Fruity Theatre Company - have enjoyed further success with their production, 'Nail Polish', earning them another 4-star review from a recent five-show-London-run. This follows the company’s (and production’s) very successful debut at this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival which saw them getting some great reviews, including an impressive 4-stars from national newspaper, The Scotsman.

The Fruity Theatre Company was founded by Greenwich Drama students during their course and was supported by the University’s Bathway Theatre Company.

'Nail Polish' - written by Aaron Govey and Daisy Parker, and under the direction of Kaylin Michael, Grace Enever and Tilly Penn - puts a spotlight on the trials and tribulations of the LGBTQ+ community, focussing on a group of friends supporting each other through the aftermath of a violent attack.

Fruity Theatre Company emerged from the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ’s BA (Hons) Drama Programme, from which the founders developed their skills from various drama modules including Stage Production, Theatre Company, and Production and Technical Theatre. To see them applying their learning by making the theatre they want to see in the world - work which addresses their concerns - with a style and content all of their own, is amazing to see. By making such an impression, both at the biggest arts festival in the world, and in the hugely competitive London theatre scene, shows just what Greenwich graduates are capable of. Keep an eye out for Fruity Theatre in the years to come, because they are not done yet.
