TLDRoffon

The International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE) at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ is a unique programme offering global teacher education provision that is shaped by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our widely recognised international postgraduate teaching qualification is specially designed to prepare you for teaching excellence in an international setting.

Programme Leader Priti Chopra talks us through our new exciting online postgraduate qualification.

In an increasingly interconnecting world, global teacher education enables practitioners to develop knowledge and resources that enhances global community and citizenship. Respect for equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to enable everyone to fulfil their potential, are core values that define this programme. It is rooted in principles for teaching practice that grows intercultural communication and learning. Studying the International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPCGE) course will enable you, if you are a practitioner with teaching experience, to develop professional competency, as a creative and inclusive educator, through critical reflection and research in a national and global context."

"The programme empowers you to facilitate the holistic development of children and young people. It builds capacity to enhance children and young people’s skills, knowledge, attitude, and capability rooted in lived experience. It aims to strengthen good quality inclusive practice by building knowledge, critical thinking skills and reflective practice to engage diverse children and young people in creating norms to address inequalities, promote social responsibility, and foster equitable relationships within local, national, and global contexts."

This flexible online programme models how teaching practice can integrate digital technology and will equip you with knowledge and skills to work globally as a successful and highly-skilled inclusive educator. You can also obtain 60 Master’s credits that can be used within three to five years (subject to the University’s Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) processes) towards an MA in Education. If you meet the criteria, you can also undertake the Assessment Only Route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

If you work or want to work in a global setting for early years, primary, secondary or equivalent educational provision, international schools and learning environments that enhance equality, diversity and inclusion, you will find the iPGCE a creative, inspiring and professionally enabling qualification that builds community for global educators.
