Widening Participation Manager, The Alan Turing Institute

Juliet is the Widening Participation Manager at The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. Her work focuses on diversity within data science and AI related roles within academia and government. She delivers The Turing’s Data Science careers programme which attracts people from underrepresented communities into careers within the sector. Juliette has a background in education and youth programmes. Teaching both internationally and in the UK, she has worked with a wide range of students with significant experience working in deprived areas. She has run large scale youth programmes engaging in social enterprise, seeking to widen opportunities to support educational and aspirational outcomes.

Karolos Korkas

Head of Algorithmic Trading Model Risk, Nomura

Karolos is the Head of Algorithmic Trading Model Risk at Nomura managing the model risk of all algorithmic trading models across the firm, globally and for all asset classes. Previously, he worked at Citi as a lead validator for algo trading models, and at MUFG in the electronic trading space (FX market making) as a front office quant trader where he prototyped trading models using statistical and machine learning methods. Karolos is also a part-time Lecturer in Data Science at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ and previously was a Fellow in Finance at the London School of Economics (LSE). He holds a PhD in Statistics from the LSE funded by EPSRC.

Pritesh joined Accenture in 2001. Since then, he has helped shape and deliver large-scale digital transformations across some of the world’s biggest brands. In 2014, he helped to form Accenture Digital (now Accenture Song) and played an integral part in driving the team’s growth. Pritesh was the Accenture Digital UKI Lead, helping to pivot Accenture to digital across every dimension of our business. He was thrilled to have an extraordinary team of incredibly talented people committed to improving the daily lives of consumers by reimagining experiences with game-changing ideas. In this current European role, Pritesh continues to lead several client accounts undertaking significant digital transformation projects. He is also the global lead for the Digital Factory-as-a-Service offering.

Vicky is a Greenwich alumnus (MSc – Computing and Information Systems) and the Head of Talent Acquisition at Scalian UK Ltd., where his expertise lies in sourcing top-tier tech talent for Fortune 100 companies, particularly within the Aerospace consulting sector. Beyond his corporate role, Vicky spearheads a bootstrapped startup focused on Information security. He aims to empower small to medium UK-based enterprises with essential cybersecurity measures, including Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, and PCI DSS compliance. With a passion for corporate leadership and entrepreneurial innovation, Vicky is dedicated to shaping the future landscape of talent acquisition and cybersecurity for businesses in the digital era.

Lisa is the Founder of Digilearning and Greenwich Alumnae (BSc (Hons) Multimedia Technology). Lisa is a Digital pioneer, visionary, and disruptor. In addition to running her own digital marketing company, she is the Founder of Digilearning, dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the Digital Industry. By challenging conventional norms and championing inclusive hiring practices, Lisa has set a new standard for corporate responsibility and social impact. Lisa has not only raised awareness about the importance of diversity and inclusion but also sparked meaningful dialogue and tangible action within the industry (#righttalent).
