Roshini Nandasena started her PhD on transformational tourism at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ (Marketing, Events and Tourism Department) in September 2019.

Roshini is a graduate from the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ, where she was awarded a BA (1st class) in Tourism Management. She has led tutorial sessions in sustainable events with undergraduate students on the BA (Hons) Events Management at the Faculty of Business (Çï¿ûÊÓƵ).

Roshini is a PhD student member of the Faculty of Business’ Tourism Research Centre (Çï¿ûÊÓƵ).

Research / Scholarly interests

Roshini’s research interests include transformational tourism, the design and delivery of memorable tourism experiences and sustainable tourism. She is also interested in applying her PhD research to transformational tourism can add to her native Sri Lanka’s efforts to address the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
