Ms Emily Barker
Postgraduate Researcher
Emily Barker is a Vice-Chancellor scholar in the School of Education within the Faculty of Education and Health at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ. Through her doctoral project, 'Migrants' histories and experiences of play: disruption, continuity, education,' she explores the impact of migration on children's play. Through both oral history interviews and archival research, Emily interrogates memories of past play experiences from those who migrated to Britain as children during the 1960s-2000s.
Emily currently serves as the Postgraduate Representative on the Children's History Society, UK. Emily has an MA in European History (King's College London) (Merit) and a BA in History (Clearwater Christian College, USA) (Magna Cum Laude).
