Amy Austin
Senior Lecturer
Amy Austin has had a varied career working in the heritage and lighting industries and has worked in secondary, further and higher education.
She joined the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ in 2010 in the capacity of employer engagement manager and work-based learning tutor for the Centre for Work Based Learning. In August 2013, Amy was seconded to the School of Engineering to work with students and their employers on both the Foundation Degree Engineering programmes and the new MSc Professional Engineering. She has now joined the Faculty of Engineering and Science on a permanent basis as a Senior Lecturer.
The focus of her work is to
enhance and develop work-based learning protocol and procedure and the quality
of student work based learning and to liaise with sponsoring employers on the
Foundation degree programmes.
Responsibilities within the university
Work with companies and students (including acting as work based learning tutor) on the FdE and working with companies and students on the MSc Professional Engineering programme.
