Professor Rasoul Khandan is currently the Professor of Digital Engineering and Head of the School of Engineering at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in academia, He is renowned for his academic leadership, expertise in technical training, and contributions to business development and partnerships in higher education.

Before his appointment at Greenwich University in 2024, he served as Deputy Director of Academics at the University of Cambridge - Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). In this role, he was instrumental in advancing Degree Apprenticeship and Technical Education programs, driving lifelong learning initiatives, and establishing strong partnerships with enterprises across the UK and internationally.

Previously, he led the Aston Professional Engineering Centre (APEC department) at Aston University for nearly two years. Under his leadership, the department achieved notable revenue growth through the strategic delivery of multidisciplinary programs in collaboration with numerous SMEs and industries across various sectors in the UK. His efforts were crucial in securing successful accreditation visits and restructuring the department to align with industry needs and the UK Education 2030 vision.

His extensive experience includes roles as a lecturer, senior lecturer, program director, and academic director at institutions such as Loughborough, Northampton, Swansea, and Bournemouth universities. His collaborative work seamlessly integrates technical expertise with strategic leadership, contributing significantly to both academic and industrial fields.

Additionally, Professor Khandan has acted as an academic supervisor for postdoctoral and PhD researchers, as well as KTP associates. He has also served as an external examiner and advisor for course development and PhD examinations at other higher education institutions. Furthermore, he has successfully secured research funding, and his research outputs have been published in numerous prestigious journals.
