Professor Paul Vlitos BA Hons, MA, PhD

Academic Portfolio Lead, Creative Writing

Paul Vlitos studied English Literature at the University of Bristol before undertaking graduate study at University College London and the University of Cambridge. He has taught English Literature and Creative Writing at a variety of institutions, including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Goldsmiths, Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan and the University of Surrey. Since September 2023 he has been Academic Programme Lead for Creative Writing at the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ. As well as his academic research and the novels he has published under his own name, Paul also writes (with Collette Lyons) as Ellery Lloyd. Their first novel, People Like Her (2021), was a Richard and Judy Summer Pick and a Book of the Month Club pick. Their second novel, The Club (2022), was a Reese’s Book Club pick and New York Times Bestseller.
