Trudie Amarh
Lecturer in Law and Criminology
Trudie studied at the School of Law and Criminology as an undergraduate before working as a paralegal for five years, specialising in immigration, personal injury, and civil litigation. Trudie then returned and did the LLM International Commercial Law at Greenwich, followed by a PGCE in teacher training. Trudie is currently undertaking her Professional Doctorate.

- Trudie conducted her LLM dissertation on Female Genital Mutilation; A case for Asylum
- Trudie is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Crime, Policing and Security. Her thesis will critically examine how adultification of black youths during stop and search encounters causes trauma
- Trudie’s other research areas include stop and search, policing of the black community, human rights, family law and civil litigation
