Walter S Stabb
Senior Lecturer in Post-Production Editing
Walter Stabb is an editor, filmmaker and academic who joined the University of Greenwich in 2016, teaching on the Film and TV Production and Digital Filmmaking courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Walter has worked on projects screened by the BBC, HBO America, global advertising agencies, cultural institutions and at festivals internationally.
In addition to his professional work as a freelance editor and filmmaker Walter holds a first class degree from the University of Nottingham and wrote an MRes thesis for the London Consortium on documentary film, trauma and animation. He is an ongoing Research Associate and former Head of Post-Production at The Derek Jarman Lab, School of Arts, Birkbeck, where he helped to create The Seasons in Quincy (2016) and Europe Endless (2019).

Research / Scholarly interests
Walter's research interests include the art of digital film editing, collaborative essay filmmaking process and subjective documentary.
Recent collaborative projects include, Keywords (2020), a film produced by the University of Pittsburgh; and Gerstl's Ghost, a Çï¿ûÊÓƵ digital video / 35mm / 360 expanded heritage research project.
