UK research councils (UK / EU students)
UK research councils support postgraduate training and research by providing UK candidates with tuition fee and maintenance grants. Non-UK residents from the EU can apply for a tuition fee award. Non-EU residents are not eligible to apply.
Candidates must apply via their university. Universities usually have their own internal deadlines that must be met in order for forms to be submitted before the council deadlines (usually 1 May). The awards are highly competitive, so early application is encouraged.
