Colouring the Past
Project outline
Colouring the Past uses Deep Learning to accurately colourise historical photos.
It introduces a unique loss function which enhances authenticity while improving the historical accuracy.
The work is based on "SPColor" (Shen et al, 2023) clusters objects in the image for better colourisation.
