Welcome

Welcome to Greenwich Business School

We’re really looking forward to seeing you on campus in September.

You're about to start the next chapter in your life. It's a very exciting time for you but we know that there’s lots of information to take on board. This webpage is designed to pull some of the basics together for you. Below, you’ll find the key things to do now, things to look out for in your first weeks (nearer the time, your induction timetable will be posted below) and some other helpful info. We’ve also included details of how to get in touch with us if you’ve any questions.

Welcome Week with us in the Greenwich Business School starts on campus on Monday 16 September 2024. Your classes, which are face-to-face, begin the following week on campus.

We’ve put together a busy Welcome Week schedule for you and look forward to seeing you on campus for this. Amongst your activities is a number of important - and mandatory - on-campus sessions which will help get you up-to-speed with being a student here. It’s really important you attend all these sessions as they are designed to make sure you are able to make the most of your time with us. You’ll be introduced to the key staff for your course (and you’ll get to meet your classmates too) and will learn about all the things you need to get started as a student. We really cannot stress this enough - please make sure that you attend ALL the Welcome Week sessions timetabled for your course.

The week before Welcome Week (9-13 September 2024) is '' - Greenwich's hybrid festival of skills. GreFest will be packed full of events to support you as you start your uni journey. This is your chance to participate - online or in person - in a variety of interactive sessions, designed to be both informative and fun! You’ll be able to meet students just like yourselves, plus tutors and librarians who are ready to support your studies, as well as experts from support services such as Wellbeing, Student Finance, Employability & Apprenticeships and the International Student Team. And, it's a great way to make new friends too!  Look out for the GreFest timetable.

And so to the other side of uni life... We know there’s more to it than just study. It's your chance to gain new experiences, make new friends and have fun - a real chance for you to let your main character energy take centre stage! Whatever your interest - sports, cultural or other - Greenwich Students’ Union (SU) will likely have a club or society for you and other like-minded people. The Lower Deck (in the Dreadnought Building at Greenwich) is your Students' Union venue for food, drink and entertainment on Greenwich Campus and is where many of the SU’s events take place during the year. Make sure you check out all the great activities they’ve put together for new students and do get involved!

We really look forward to meeting you soon and wish you all the best for your studies.

Welcome Week Timetables

Your programme induction timetable will be sent directly to both your personal and university email addresses once you have completed registration, so make sure that you check both inboxes to avoid missing any important information.

Things to do now!

Ahead of Welcome Week, please start and - ideally - complete registration as soon as possible. Not being fully registered won’t stop you attending Welcome Week (and you must attend, even if you haven’t completed registration) but you can’t get access to your course materials until fully registered.

You can find all you need to know about registration here.

Key people

We have a team of staff to support you at every step of your university journey:

Academic Staff

  • Programme Leader: They manage your programme, co-ordinate with the tutors across your modules and are responsible for your academic experience. You can find out who they are by looking at the webpage for your course.
  • Academic Tutors: Your primary contact when you have questions or need advice. They can help direct you to student services, help you improve your academic performance, and support you on the path to your first graduate job.
